Extra rule for the floor, dimensioning ?
Hello.
I'm working on the floor structure and will be buying modular house parts.
I've built up the basement floor and wall + sill, and the "frame around the floor joists" is according to the modular house's drawing +/- 2mm.
But I don't understand how the floor will be supported from underneath on the short sides, so I thought about placing a stud block there (I don't want/can't put in noggings because of the underfloor heating loops). According to the drawing, the 170 wall stud should stand directly on the standing 45x220. The 22+8mm floor meets the wall stud, then there's another 45x45 wall stud, but that one is horizontal.
Otherwise, one might think that the 22mm floor chipboard could extend all the way out and the 170 wall stands there, but that doesn't seem right, and it's not drawn that way either...
I thought about putting in a 45x70, but is that the right dimension? Or should I go up to 95? See picture (not to scale at all).
The floor from below will have 22mm chipboard + 8mm laminate.

If the 45x70 rule should be screwed or nailed parallel and on the side of a 45x220 beam, the dimension is sufficient. The load from above will probably be in the order of 75 kg per meter. With a substantial screw (6x80) every 300 mm, you have over-dimensioned.
Thank you for the answer, that sounds good and I thought about screwing + PU glue but can probably skip the glue : )J justusandersson said:
