Hello
I have a used, older, panel door that I will use for a guest bathroom. The door is old and nice, the right width, but only 190 high (including the frame).
Therefore, I want to lengthen it. I can easily extend the frames (I think), since I plan to install it without a threshold. So I will just build onto the frame with the appropriate length. The hinges will remain where they are.
I plan to extend the door leaf by taking a piece from another interior door, which unfortunately is beyond saving otherwise.
So, the question: How would you attach the new door leaf part to the old one?
Just glue?
Glue and screw long (160mm) screws from underneath?
Glue and drill 10mm from underneath and insert dowels with more glue?
Make a joint, and if so, what kind?

Mill grooves in both to fit a plywood tongue of 6-10mm. Drill with a suitable drill bit 5mm from the end, countersink it with a 10-12mm bottom so you can insert a suitable screw 80-100mm.
