The house was built in '88 and is a single-story L-shaped wooden house. Our idea is to extend the house at one of the gables. It has a crawl space foundation.
Now to the question. Can this be done by ourselves, or should everything be contracted out? The alternative I have is to purchase the foundation and frame, including trusses and roof cladding (concrete tiles), as well as windows from a local carpenter. We would complete the rest of the build ourselves, like insulation, electrical, and other carpentry work inside and outside.
Can anyone relatively accurately estimate the cost for this project? Preferably a price per sqm.
