Reading up a bit on EPS concrete. It says there that it can only be exposed for 3 days before leveling compound. What happens if it lies longer?
 
You can experience cracking due to increased dehydration etc., so the simple solution is that if you know you need more time, you apply a layer of primer or mix a bag of self-leveling compound and apply it as a thin layer. That's all you need to essentially have all the time in the world to do what now takes time.

When I did the bathroom, I didn't dare to level the floor myself, so I let the flooring installer do it. But after the casting and it was set, I primed the entire floor. It took 4 weeks before the leveling compound was applied.

I think the risk is that it dries too quickly otherwise and cracks or lifts??
