I think it's time to start a new thread regarding the purchase of building materials on the other side of the Baltic Sea.
I am in the process of building an architect-designed house in a suburb of Stockholm, about 180 sqm. It will be a modern house with a "funkis style." Of course, I am interested in making cost-effective and good purchases of materials as possible.
What are the pros/cons of buying building materials in, for example, Poland?
Can you expect equivalent quality in all products, or are there materials you should "beware" of buying in one of the low-cost countries?
Should purchases be divided between wood and concrete among different countries, and if so, how?
Is it problematic to combine Swedish products with, for example, Polish ones?
Is it WORTH making the purchases on the other side of the Baltic Sea???
