Hi!
I'm currently renovating my bedroom. Right now, the walls consist of wallpapered particle boards. I'm thinking of placing renovation drywall on top of the particle boards and painting them. Can I keep the particle boards and put the drywall directly on them? And does it work to paint on drywall?

Yes and yes.
No problem 🙂

Works great, but I prefer using regular drywall. It is difficult to screw renovation gypsum and it does not provide as even and smooth a result either.

Okay. But I'm thinking regular drywall is a bit thicker than renovation gypsum board. How does that work with doors and window casings?

You might have to sala out from the door frame. There is also klackfoder for 13 mm plasterboard.
