You can easily make a skurkloss from planed timber in a suitable size. You "fine-tune" it with an electric hand planer and a little sandpaper.

You might already be done, otherwise, you usually have the block a bit higher than the baseboard.

Yep, the first thing the wife said was that it would have looked better if it were more rectangular. I have made a bunch of blocks, but I still have some pre-planed wood with the chamfering done that hasn't been cut. So it's not too late to change.

Got an hour to Kungsbacka, but now planed everything in a buddy's workshop.
Both the planer and jointer are from the 1920s. And I'm a fairly inexperienced cabinetmaker. But got it okay.

Work effort: 3h including some dashing around
