Copy the hole pattern from a [link] to a plywood of suitable thickness, maybe increase the height and use four screw holes instead of two. Paint it so that it blends in.

Then you can mount a clothing rod at any place against these and get the vertical force on the spots that should be able to normally take it. At the same time, everything is detachable without extra screw holes.
It won't be possible to mask with paint since we have chosen "white-stained oak," which will also be hard to find in "regular" wood. Otherwise a good idea. I'll try with small screws, and if it seems too unstable, I'll take a longer screw and drive it straight through. Maybe reinforce with some clear silicone to prevent the screw from moving due to the weight. That way, I can easily move the rod without having ugly glue residues that will be hard to remove.

Through bolt with nut will make it sit like a rock regardless of what the frame consists of. But as previously stated, it will most likely hold with a shorter screw as well since all the force is just going downward.

Personally, I think the retractable clothes rods are excellent. What you've just used hangs on the outer part, and what's hanging on the inner part can be given away because you haven't used it in three years. I have short-sleeved on one and long-sleeved on the other, simple and good.

A small update now that I'm done with the closet.

What I found is that the 50 cm frame and corner frame have particle board all the way through, and the 75 cm frame has honeycomb. When I drilled into the 50 frame and corner frame, the drill worked all the way through, and there was no cavity visible in the middle when looking through the new hole. No rattling when the wardrobe was set up, as several have commented here. When I set up the 75 frame, there was a hell of a rattling. I never needed to drill into the 75 frame, so I can't say with 100% certainty, but the fact that the 75 frame weighs less than the 50 frame says a lot.
