Drilling holes in the ceiling, etc.
Feeling stuck right now. We currently have a 1½-story house that is almost completely finished on the outside but nothing done inside.
We now need to create a ventilation gap and insulate the roof so we can start the underfloor heating.
Then it occurred to me that it would be good to make the roof penetrations now, so you can properly seal and insulate around them, plus it will be easier to work with. There are four different "holes" involved. Kitchen fan, ventilation, sewer ventilation, and chimney. I asked a company if they could do this, but no, they said you have to start from the bottom according to them. That is, all interior parts in place first!
So here we are, stuck. It feels like a lot of extra work to nearly finish the interior only to then make holes. But maybe that's how it's done?
Feels like a big Catch-22 that I can't get out of.
