Is it possible to drill into a staircase made of concrete with sprinkled stones as decoration?
I have a rotary hammer from Jula which isn't a precision instrument but it eats holes in concrete walls daily without complaining, but the stones might make it worse?
I want to install a doorstop and therefore make a hole quite close to the railing, but I don't want to crack the slab or cause any other unintended damage...
I actually have a bottle of Illbruck PU700 that I was thinking of using to glue down the stair treads so they don't tilt when you step on the edge.
It seems to glue metal as well, but I'm a bit worried that it will foam and get generally messy around. Under the steps, it's nothing that concerns me, so I hadn't thought much about it when I bought the tube.
I assume it will be quite strong and hold even if you glue a stop of this type:
