Drill hole through the floor for VP pipe - suitable drill?

I am thinking of drilling holes through the floor to run a couple of VP pipes (16 or 20mm inner diameter) down. It's a wooden house, and it seems I need a drill that is at least 26cm long.

Will it work to drill with a regular drill machine? Suggestions for a suitable drill?

I have a Dewalt drill with a welded extension on it, works fine since I have about 60cm length then. I use a Makita 18v LRX 456 I think for drilling without problems. However, it's DIY stuff.

Flat wood drill and possibly an extender. Classe, Bauhaus, Jula, Coop bygg are some stores that have those.

It works with a regular drill, but be careful if it stops!! The drill might rotate (jerk) and then there's a risk of pinching your hand if you are drilling near a wall.
