I received few answers in the Bath forum regarding a moisture issue, so I thought it might go better here.

Where and how to place construction plastic in the floor joists is debatable.

For example, why isn't the construction plastic right behind the chipboard in my floor when it is in the walls... hmm yes, that's strange.
Would the ground under the house always be warmer than the air in the house?

Anyway, I have an uninsulated slab on the ground with construction plastic on it.
Now the question is, should I remove this plastic where my new bathroom floor will be?

The plan is to lay as follows:

100mm extruded polystyrene
Waterborne underfloor heating
Reinforcement
Ardex A34 mix
Waterproofing layer
Tiles

So should I then keep the plastic sheeting that will be under the polystyrene?

Grateful for all input!! :) all good and bad answers are welcome!!
Thanks

After doing some research, I have found a reason to keep the construction plastic on the slab.

Since I don't have a crawl space under the slab, the ground will always contain a higher moisture content regardless of whether there's a capillary-breaking layer, and this moisture seeks equilibrium and will therefore rise up through the slab and into the house.

Sure, it's warmer in the house than in the ground, but that still doesn't prevent all the moisture from constantly renewing.

So it will be construction plastic on the slab and a waterproof barrier throughout the entire bathroom.

It will just be important not to trap any moisture, and everything should turn out great! ;)
