Hi, I'm new here. We have just built a fence with our neighbor. Our side consists of vertical planks with cover strips. Unfortunately, I don't have a picture to upload right now. We live centrally in Malmö and want to be able to close ourselves off. Therefore, we want to build a door connected to the fence. I'm trying to look around our area to see how fences look and how doors are handled. I'm also Googling a bit. However, we're a bit at odds at home regarding whether the door should be lockable or not. My vision of the door is a rough "barn door" style that matches the appearance of the fence. We're in agreement on that. But this clashes with the door needing to be easily lockable. We don't want to have to run out to the fence to let in guests... yet we want to be able to lock it. A door with a code lock was mentioned. Then I see a difficulty in it appearing "rough" as such a solution likely requires a "regular" handle that needs a closer connection to the fence. Does anyone have a sensible solution for this? By the way, are there any code locks that can withstand being exposed to weather?
