I'm going to build a door opening and window reveal but lack good instructions on how to do it. I've found many nice pictures on the forum but lack step-by-step instructions on how to achieve those nice final results. You always have some ideas, but a guide would be good to have.
The door opening is in a wall with plasterboard+OSB+45-studs+OSB+plasterboard. What's the best way to get even, nice edges on the inside around the door opening? The plan is not to have any trim around the door opening, just a smooth edge if possible. If anyone has a link to instructions or some pictures, I would appreciate it.
The same goes for the edges on the inside around the windows.

Hey.
I'm not sure if this answers the question, but are you building the door frame and window frame yourself, or do you need help with the openings?
If you're building your own frames, I'd go for thick materials (mdf board).
Then I would build the stud frame (in the structure) in exact dimensions minus the thickness of the frame material, i.e. I would then glue and nail the frame directly into the structure you have (without gaps) so that the frame becomes smooth and nice (very small nails with the nail gun). You split the board material in the frame so wide that you can butt your gypsum boards against it on each side of the wall. Maybe I didn't answer your question, but then you can just say that I'm wrong
