Hello,
I am currently renovating the interior and would like to address the thermal bridge at the corner between two exterior walls (one is concrete).
My idea was to remove the corner stud, fill it with insulation, and place a narrower stud that is anchored to the concrete wall.
However, I'm a bit concerned as I see the corner stud is fastened with larger screws, so I wonder if there might be some specific function with this stud or why else it would be tightened in this way?
