I have probably already made up my mind, but I want to double-check so I'm aware of the risks.
Took down the panel to replace it, realized it's completely empty behind it, and now want to fill it with PIR insulation to maximize the U-value. It will lie directly against the plastered surface.
There is no moisture/vapor barrier on the inside. 95mm insulation. (Old house from the 40s)
Is it completely stupid? Could there be a problem with moisture? I think the moisture that exists/is created will travel another way, mainly up into the roof. (Unknown construction, probably original with plaster-boards-insulation-masonite-roof tiles.)
If I renovate the room in the future and seal it with plastic, what could happen then?
