Does a door shrink in winter?

Hello, I have a building from '72 with original interior doors, and I have a door that sticks a little. I am convinced this is from settling earlier. BUT in winter, it gets better. My thought has always been that the house moves a bit in winter, which is why the door works better.

But today the thought struck me that maybe the door itself shrinks a little in winter due to low humidity, and maybe it’s not the house moving. Could this theory be correct?

Yes, it is driest indoors in winter and the opposite in summer.

If you live in a house built with wood, you can probably expect the whole house to shift between seasons.

The door sticks the most in Aug-Sep, then it gets better. We in old wooden houses always have the same problem.
