Hello
I've read here on the forum that you should glue the floor gypsum to the floor chipboard with, for example, Ardex S48, but I have such a small area and not in a wet room, so the question is if it's necessary. It's also hard to get hold of.

The area is 90x90 and stable. I will lay tiles on the gypsum.

Best regards,
Carl-Henrik

Use self-leveling compound instead! Easier and better.

I understand that it's supposed to be easy, but for me, plaster felt simplest. I already have the plaster and it's adapted, so I just need to secure it. With the self-leveling compound, I'm a bit more uncertain about getting the right level.

Have laid some floor gypsum but am an amateur. I might have still glued it, but perhaps with something more accessible and cheaper. Read that tile adhesive works.

It's such a small area so it shouldn't need much reinforcement.

Glue! It will be more sound-proof then. Tile adhesive will do just fine.

I have purchased Bostik 8010 Combi as an adhesive for laying the tiles (when I bought the tiles). It is not as flexible as Ardex S48 but the question is whether it could still be used both for gluing the drywall to the chipboard and then the tiles to the drywall...

Even though it is not explicitly stated, it seems according to the description it can be used on chipboards if primed with concentrated primer, which I have. The basic question is if there will be problems since it doesn't have the flexibility like Ardex?

Anyone have input on this?
