Hello!

I am going to line a room with 6mm plasterboard.

Behind an old direct-acting electric heater, I have a masonite board:

I assume this is some form of protection against the heat from the heater. Is this something I need to have, or can I manage with the plasterboard?

In about two years, I will probably replace the old direct-acting electric heater with an oil heater.

Thank you very much in advance.

Best regards,
Fredrik

The plaster is going well. The masonite is just the cheapest option, as it's behind a radiator anyway.
