I will soon be installing a laminate floor in the basement. There is underfloor heating in the form of electric coils embedded in the concrete. How do I know if my specific underlay and laminate are compatible with underfloor heating or do all floors work with it?

I can't speak for all laminate flooring, but I have installed a laminate (click floor that looks like wood) that basically only consists of mdf-like material. Maybe more like hdf. 6 mm thick. It has worked well and I haven't had any significant movement in it.

Thank you very much for your response.

The laying instructions for the floor should state what requirements they have for the substrate, e.g. no underfloor heating.
