Renovating the bathroom and have installed construction plywood and will later add drywall before waterproofing and tiles. Two boards ended up a bit close to each other and I have now used a multitool to create a small gap between the boards. About 1mm. Do you think that's enough, or should I make a bigger gap with the plunge saw?
The boards were outside (under a roof) before installation, so they were hardly completely dry.
It's probably not a problem; issues might arise if you place all the blocks directly against each other.
In all the renovations I've done, I've typically used a tape measure in between. But, of course, it might have become both wider and completely flush at times. Nothing that has affected the final result at all, either directly or over time.
Thank you! Yes, then it would have felt worse, but the room is quite small, so it's only 1.5 boards per wall. And where the boards meet in the corners, the spacing turned out well, so it should be completely fine.
Previously, I accidentally put an entire wall with OSB flush and didn't notice at all, but this time I got a bit more paranoid considering that a waterproofing layer and tiles are going up, so I'm not too keen on redoing it .
