distance between molly (metal expander)

I have a question that I hope someone here can answer.

What is the minimum distance you should have between multiple metal expansion anchors (molly) in a drywall? I assume that if you place the anchors too close together, it won't be stronger and the wall will become weaker. The drywall is 16mm thick if that matters.

The reason I'm asking is that I want to mount a TV on the wall and, of course, want it to be as strong as possible. I know you should primarily attach to a stud, but there's no stud where the TV will hang.

Attach a board to the wall first and paint it into the wall color, then the problem is solved

Is it plasma or LCD?
Size/weight?
It usually says on the molly expander how much weight it can hold.
