Hello, in a sunroom, a panel will be installed as the ceiling. The roof is hipped, so there isn't always a truss cc 120 to screw strapping into. I was therefore thinking of adding studs aligned with the truss. But what dimension? It probably depends on the span, but to be on the safe side and go a bit overboard, what would be sufficient? 70, 120? Then cc 60 is enough for 28*70 strapping, right? Regards, Ulf

The span is crucial. If the studs are to be parallel with the rafters, it should be about 2-3 meters, which should be calculated. If the span is only 1200 mm, 45x70 will suffice. Try to find C 24 quality regardless of the dimension, it pays off.

The question is whether it is better to place 45x70 c/c 600 across the roof trusses with the same lower edge and skip the lattice paneling. Then you can place the roof panel parallel to the trusses. This way, you can also avoid joints in the panel.
