Difference between expensive and cheap fix and fox?

Planning to tile above the countertop in the laundry room for the first time soon and wondering if there's any difference between jem o fix, Byggmax, Bauhaus cheap adhesive and grout and the slightly more expensive ones sold in the finer building supply stores?

I would think that it is with fix as with mortar and render, that the cheaper ones are slightly more difficult to work with, like worse adhesion, more mess, etc., but that the end product is essentially equivalent to the more expensive ones.

However, when it comes to joint mortar, there may be a difference in how well they retain color, resistance to biological growth, permeability, etc.

But I'm just guessing...

I would have focused on fog, I don't think fix is as important.
