Hello,

I bought Gypsum from Bygg Max and the gypsum I had decided on in advance was Gipsskiva Svensk STD, 13x1200x2400mm, 27kg but when I finally transported home and placed all 19 boards where they are to be mounted, I noticed that it says 12.5x1200x2400 on them!? I see that Bygg Max has a couple that are 12.5 in thickness but they don't match the other measurements? Looking at the gypsum itself, it is solid colored, so it shouldn't be hard gypsum, even though they felt very heavy to carry in.

Moreover, there are 2 gypsum boards that match the measurements except that they are 13 mm thick instead of 12.5: Gipsskiva Svensk STD and Gipsskiva EU-standard

Perhaps some of you know something about this, otherwise I will have to try to sort it out with Bygg Max in some way.

0.5mm probably doesn't make a difference and if you're using them in the same room it matters even less. It's probably just a rounding thing. In the beginning, they might have been 1/2" thick, i.e. 12.7mm, and how you round that is arbitrary.

Gyproc 13 is "only" 12.5 mm thick.
Swedish standard is probably more about the density, which is higher and therefore a heavier board, than the EU standard.

I think the vast majority say "13", even though it could be 12.5mm, 12.7mm or 13mm thickness and as Stefan said, there is no visible difference if you happen to mix...
