Did I get a discount?

Asked someone to check for me, the price of that cabinet was about 3050 kr + VAT, it's under a group discount agreement without saying too much.

Discounts vary depending on the situation.

I had a slightly better discount than @useless, so either the company has a better or worse deal than us.

Even I come down to about the same money and we don't even work in the electrical industry. We also don't have any special agreement with Ahlsell as we only buy a few tools and some protective clothing from them.

He invoiced the builder only 2300 then?

It's really a damn shame that you can't rely on people. The question is if there are so many who actually just pay up and keep their anger to themselves that the entrepreneurs feel it's worth trying again next time.

Hi, we're renovating at home, and in the contract with the construction company, there are discount rates they have with different stores, which we also get on materials. However, I received an invoice yesterday where it was obvious they hadn't applied the discount, so now I'm starting to wonder if we've received discounts on previous invoices. The products are of a more technical nature (electrical items, among others), so it's difficult for me to determine if it's a discounted price or not.

Is there anyone here who can look at these prices on the invoice and see if we have received discounts or not? These are the agreed-upon discounts, but I don't know where they have purchased.

Bauhaus: 40% on stock items, 12-18% on order items.
Dahl: 40% on stock items, 12-18% on order items.
Ahlsell: 37% on stock items, 12-18% on order items.
Optimera: 27% on stock items, 12-18% on order items.

I know that Bauhaus gives a few percent for quote requests, but not 40.

Is it deductions from gross you've negotiated or markup on net?

To the thread starter: the standard (at least in our area) is a subcontractor surcharge between contractor/subcontractor around 10-15% which covers all the hassle with coordination.

Something is off, 40% at Bauhaus? I know that Bauhaus gives a few percent for quote requests, but not 40. Is it a discount from gross that you've negotiated or a markup on net?

I agree, same thing with Optimera, no one has an average of 27% off the shelf price there. Possibly on certain items but not on timber and drywall, for example.

Of course, one provides figures in their quote on excellent discounts at already inexpensive chains, in the same size as the "discounts" given to the customer on the list price at Ahlsell. Whether the discounts are unrealistic doesn't matter, since there was never any intention to shop anywhere other than at Ahlsell.
