A sheet metal company is currently renovating our roof with standing seam sheets in Aluzinc. In addition to the roof, a balcony will also be clad with standing seam sheet metal in Aluzinc. Below the balcony is part of the living room. The house is in so-called functional style and is from 1937.
Our balcony is about 6 sqm, and the question now is what material and solution to use to create a good, usable balcony. The decking cannot add much height, or we won't be able to open our balcony door. I've heard that pressure-treated wood doesn't work well with Aluzinc.
The balcony has a slight slope that might need to be "built" away. We are planning to retain an older wrought iron railing around the balcony. I would be very grateful if anyone has any ideas or suggestions on how I can make this work. Has anyone done something similar? Photos/drawings are gratefully received.
