I am in the process of laying new decking for the terrace. The previous decking I oiled with linseed oil about twice a year. But I wasn't so satisfied as I think the terrace looked a bit dirty and got some cracks.
If I now instead do not oil the new decking, just wash it with soap a few times a year, will the decking look fresher? Yes, it might result in fewer cracks since I get the feeling that an oiled decking might be the cause of the cracks?
