Hi,

I'm going crazy... I'm putting up polystyrene moldings on the ceiling. The moldings are placed half on the wall and half against the ceiling, meaning 45 degrees against ceiling/wall. I have a special miter box to easily cut the corners. So far so good.

The problem is that I have an outside corner that is 45 degrees instead of 90 degrees. I can't figure out how to cut the molding. I've tried angling the molding in the miter box in different ways, but it doesn't turn out well. Does anyone have a picture or good description of how I should proceed?

Best regards,
/Anders

You need to cut at 45/2 = 22.5 degrees and that is usually not available on mitre boxes, you need a miter saw that you can set to exactly the angle you want.
