Cut parquet around the walls
Good tip. It seems to be very narrow on the side.Needas said:
Can you adjust the cutting depth? I mean I only want to cut the click flooring which is 17mm, not the chipboard underneath.
I rented a machine that was made just for that. Kind of a handheld saw with a countersunk screw and a blade guard that ended flush with the blade. With a 3 mm blade, you could cut 5 mm along a wall.
But that was probably 20 years ago.

Is this really the right time to saw? If you saw when the floor has expanded, the gap will grow even larger, so there's a risk that not even 15mm moldings will cover it later...
Shouldn't it be done when the floor is at its smallest, like in January/February?

Now it has become colder compared to September and the floor doesn't sound at all like it did a couple of months ago. I think the floor has shrunk enough. It might shrink a little more. I have 15 mm socklar. They cover 12 mm.
We have at least 10 percentage points lower relative humidity indoors if it is -20 degrees outside compared to how it is right now. I would then think that affects the floor. The best thing is probably to wait until next late summer so that you can clearly see where it touches somewhere.
