What is the difference in property between cut clasp nails and regular brads?

A cut nail is surely cut to have a harder time crawling out?
/Not a carpenter, former electrician...

It has extra high adhesion capability

Perfect, thank you!

going to nail a strip on the top edge of a window. Sounds like a forged nail will be best.

Regular works fine, 2/3 of the nail should go into the material you're fastening to, i.e., for a 15 mm trim, use a 50 mm nail.

A thousand thanks!

I don't know if I dare drive a 40mm nail into a window frame from the top. Maybe it's an unfounded fear!?

I need to attach a 21mm molding on the top. It's a strange construction from when the house was built.

Feedback:

I used a 50mm cut dyckert at the top edge of the Elitfönster vision. The strip that was attached with the dyckert was 21mm planed. It turned out perfect.

Used 4 nails and the window is 120cm wide.
