First world problem:
I've seen similar posts in some threads here, but I still want to ask again.
I'm building a deck with 2 broken (diagonal) corners.
The railing will be a cross railing.
At the transition to the corner (meaning 2 transitions per "corner" without complicating it further), a 90-degree 95×95 post meets a 45-degree one.
How do I attach the top and bottom of the cross to the 45-degree post?
One model I've been considering is to notch the cross so it takes the shape of a Y right where it meets the post directly over the post's corner.
Alternatively, make triangular wooden wedges to create a right angle exactly at the cross attachment.
Anyone with experience with this same dilemma?
I'll see if I can draw something nice.
