Are longitudinal cracks in a basement wall made of lecablock dangerous? What should or ought to be done about it? It seems there is electrical wiring in the lecablocks, and there the lecablocks also seem to protrude more.
Should you knock off the loose parts? It sounds hollow in some places. When you knock, it creates rather large gaps where loose Leca was.

  • Cracked concrete block wall with visible damage and protruding areas, showing signs of wear and potential electrical conduit interference.
  • Close-up of a Leca block basement wall with visible cracks and embedded electrical socket above a wooden floor.
The cracks are not dangerous. They seem to have occurred after grouting with unsuitable mortar. Maybe only where electrical cables have been installed. It seems a bit homemade. The electrical cables should probably be in VP pipes or similar, but that's not my department.
