Crack in the wall

Hello everyone!

My partner and I are renovating our newly purchased condominium. On one wall in the bedroom, we discovered that the wall or plaster has cracked. All loose material has been removed, and what's left is a large tear in the wall. What do I need to do to fix this properly? Do I need to buy a special filler?

Plaster works well for that. Make sure to remove any loose material and moisten thoroughly beforehand (but be careful with the outlet!)

Gypsum plaster works well for that. Make sure to remove any loose pieces and dampen thoroughly beforehand (but watch out for the socket!)

So I just use a water spray in principle? I will probably need quite a bit of Gypsum plaster since it's quite deep

Yes, something like a spray bottle works well. The amount is not an issue, it can be applied thickly and costs under 200:- for a 25 kg bag.

No, gips must be mixed directly upon use.

That was a generous association. Most would probably call that surface layer.
