I am in the process of installing ceiling moldings and have a spot that I don't know how to handle in an aesthetically pleasing way.

1. The entire room has beadboard ceiling (which will be painted white) BUT half of the room has about 1.5cm lower ceiling height. At the joint between the ceilings, I thought of placing a custom-made molding (like a ceiling beam), but the question is how to install the ceiling moldings in a nice way. The figure shows a schematic drawing of how it looks from the side. As it is drawn, it doesn't look very nice since the ceiling molding just ends abruptly at the joint, leaving a visible cut-off end... Any tips on how to handle this? One alternative could be to install a thicker ceiling beam that is as thick as the ceiling molding is wide... but if there is a better idea, I would be grateful.

For what reason was the roof not lowered to the same height?

I responded to an earlier post that a picture helps. But if you have access to a handsaw and a morakniv, you can do a lot. A multi-saw (like fane) allows you to do even more. :)

I just put a new roof on one part since the lower part already had a nice roof. Sure, one could have leveled it and gotten the same level, but done is done.

hello again.

There are probably different ways to fix such a thing, spontaneously I would probably put a small square snickarglädjekub, the same as you can put in corners if you don't feel like mitering.
