Yep.
Thanks, just cut it out with a jigsaw then?

Went excellent the last time I did it anyway!
They just mill out a piece so that it won't break during transport. Make sure the blade on the jigsaw isn't too short. There is always a risk that the jigsaw might "jump up" on the countertop and cause damage. I usually use a multicutter (feinsåg).
Unfortunately, Ikea has manufactured it with the wrong dimensions, so we need to cut it and splice with a piece, do we need something to splice it together with? Looks like it should be bolted underneath?
What is the shortest piece you can splice on for it to look okay?

If it's Ikea's mistake, they should correct it. A new correct board at no cost to you.
You shouldn't have to patch and repair new boards.

They have made a mistake but the move-in is next week and there is no time to wait for a 6-week delivery, so this will have to be temporary. It's difficult to prove that Ikea made a mistake, they'll probably blame us.
If they have made a mistake and you plan to complain, it is important not to install the slab, but it sounds like you don't intend to go that route.F Fredrik_1976 said:
