Hi! I have bought a house and am in the middle of renovations. The house was built in '74 and I have been informed that there is asbestos in the floor adhesive where there is carpeting, but we are laying new flooring directly on it. Unfortunately, there is parquet in one room that we want to tear out to avoid any level difference. I lifted the floor a bit and found this paper-like material. Kind of old insulation paper? But started to wonder if there could be asbestos mixed in it?

  • Hand holding a piece of old corrugated paper-like material, possibly under flooring, questioning if it contains asbestos.
  • Fragment of old cardboard-like material suspected to contain asbestos, found under parquet during home renovation.
Normally, I would say no, but if you're unsure, send in a sample so you get the answer in black and white. (y)
