Convert open staircase to closed

Hello!

We currently have an open staircase. I've been thinking and thinking about making it closed. Is there anyone who has a good idea and preferably a picture of how it can be done? I would prefer to do it myself. The reason I want to change it is because the space underneath is quite large, and I want to be able to store things there without dust and dirt falling down.

Will the underside of the stairs be visible?

Is the staircase straight or twisted? A straight staircase could probably be covered with some sheet material, I think, while a twisted one would likely need each step to be covered individually.

The underside of the staircase will be visible, and then there are 6 steps that are twisted. The rest of the steps are completely straight. Under the staircase, I plan to put up two hat shelves. This is to make use of the space underneath.
