We have expanded our 1930s house and will be building a new entrance staircase. It should have a plastered appearance to match the building style. Has anyone done this and what is recommended? One idea I have is to build a ventilated lecaram and then cast a reinforced floor on top of it. Then you plaster the entire construction. The steps are also built up with masonry lecablocks which are then plastered. Should you also cast a footing on top of these blocks? The measurements are 2.00 * 1.60 and it will be about 6-7 steps.

What do you need under such a lecaram? It will only be about 50 cm high because the ground slopes away from the wall.

Is there perhaps a completely different method? All suggestions and comments are gratefully received.

otherwise a free-standing staircase with stone?
