I am trying to find out if Casco polyurethane adhesive is approved as a structural adhesive? It's about supports for a load-bearing laminated beam. According to the construction plan, it should be PL400, but the carpenter used Casco polyurethane. Is it okay? On Casco's site

http://www.cascose.dk/_upl/pdf/produktblade/Cascol Polyuretan 1809.pdf

it says it is not approved for load-bearing constructions, is it a load-bearing construction with a standing post supporting a real laminated beam?

I'm not an expert, but it sure sounds like it is...

Exactly. The glue should only keep the support in the side position. It should really be sufficient with a nail from two different directions.

PU glue is clearly superior to PL400 in terms of strength.

We have now reached the konstruktör, and he said we must use PL400, polyurethane is not approved. So it worked out!
