I will insulate my roof with 250cm of blown cellulose. The insulation will not go all the way down to the eaves but about 3/4 down, and then a vertical support knee wall will be built. Now to the question: should I build the wall before we insulate the roof to have a stop for the loose fill, or should I build some other stop, like made of masonite or something, and then build the wall? Should the wall go up to the beams or all the way up to the sheathing in the roof? As support for the insulation in the wall, can I use something like paperboard or masonite, or what should I use? Total beginner at this:blushing:

Thank you for all the good answers!!

Check out the insulation manufacturers' websites, there's a lot of useful info there.

Why not insulate all the way down? Then you'll have a warm attic.
