After casting a countertop and window sills in concrete, I have now developed a taste for it.
I'm considering casting the posts for my glass railing in concrete. Square profile 50X90 mm. Mounted externally. The height of the posts is about 20 cm shorter than the glass panels. The glass panels therefore protrude higher than the posts. The glass is clamped with stainless steel square plates about 50x50mm. Secured with M8 screws that are tightened into embedded stainless steel flange nuts. (concrete/rubber washer/glass/rubber washer/stainless steel plate/screw)
Through holes for the bolts that attach the post externally to the balcony side. Four standing 6 or 8 mm stainless steel reinforcement. Conduit in the mold where I need holes. I was thinking of using fine concrete, possibly expanding concrete, which I believe results in fewer pores. Has anyone tried this? Will it work?
