I am going to put up a fence on the short side of the property where there is a lot of water in the soil. It's not like there are puddles at ground level, but if I dig a hole in the soil, water quickly flows in. I was thinking of using ready-made 70cm posts and crushed stone under and around the post. Now I wonder if the post/fence could be affected by the wet soil. I live in the Malmö area, so I don't think there's any risk of frost formation at this depth, but maybe something else could go wrong?

Currently, 111 have read my post and 0 replies. I'm wildly interpreting this as meaning there are no direct and concrete obstacles to putting plinths in waterlogged soil.

The water itself poses no obstacle. However, if it's waterlogged clay, the risk is quite high that the posts will sink. Waterlogged rock fill and you can place a house on your post!

The worst that can happen is that after a few years you have to realign the fence again, but it seems like a reasonable construction and I don't think you'll have any problems.
 
Is it wise to have crushed stone under and around the foundation block?
Water will stand there and freeze in winter...

I was about to say no idea. My guess is that the water is far enough down that it doesn't freeze in the winter. But I know very little about this. The water in the ground comes from the neighbor's land, and his plot is about 5dm above mine. At the property boundary, he has put a narrow concrete wall that goes down about 4dm below ground level, and it is at this depth that the water stops (I guess).
