Hello everyone,

In my outdoor basement entrance, there is an old cast staircase that ends with a flat surface of about 1.5 m² to allow the door to open. Above the stairs, there are two wooden gates that mostly prevent rain from coming down.

The bottom surface has a drainage point positioned roughly in the center, and the entire area slopes towards the house/door. This means only some of the water reaches the drain, while the rest remains and presses against the concrete "threshold." If I want to correct the slope to ensure proper drainage towards the point, would fine concrete work, or should I use something else? The area closest to the house needs to be raised about 2 cm and then sloped out to 0 mm at the drainage point. I've done some casting/masonry work, but I've never considered whether concrete can be used on surfaces this thin.

Such thin concrete will crack. Self-leveling compound should have a surface layer and not be "bare."
I suggest Ardex A46, very expensive but good, and it wasn't such a large area.
