About to convert a hobby room into a children's room. Split-level house on a gravel ridge, with building plastic laid in one layer under the slab, which is cast without insulation and crushed stone from '69.
The old floor is gone, the sewer line has been replaced, and the slab has been leveled.
So now it's time to continue upwards. Have about 100-110mm to work with.
The biggest question mark is really about Platon or not. Either start with Platon or just taped building plastic. Then it will be 50mm XPS, 25mm foam insulation with waterborne underfloor heating, 17mm chipboard, and finished with laminate flooring.
Is it worth putting in Platon, or is it just wasted money?
