Wondering if anyone has anything intelligent to say about the choice between precast concrete elements or lightweight concrete blocks? The intended suppliers are betonelement.ee or aeroc.ee and their AEROC EcoTerm 375 x 200 x 600 mm.

Aeroc Ecoterm 375mm has a u=0.25.
I have been inside a house built with this and it seems completely fine to a layman.

The price indication from Aeroc's website is 600 SEK per m2 wall surface including materials, construction, and plaster, both inside and outside. (smooth wall, I assume). The prices apply to Estonia, but that's also where it's going to be built :P

What do you think about building with Aeroc 375mm and applying plaster? No additional insulation. Would it work? Please comment on the price level compared to Sweden. What are the pros/cons of using precast concrete elements instead?

Building with aerated concrete blocks and then simply plastering is a very good solution. Good insulation values, completely homogeneous wall, no condensation or moisture problems, in case of water damage you can just dry it out again....
The only downside I've seen is that if the plaster is thin on the outside, you can see the pattern of the blocks in rainy weather. Could possibly be due to different "temperature" on the joints than the blocks (=different insulation capacity)?
