Hi Working in a basement. Chipped away 15 square meters of concrete. To be backfilled with 10 cm of macadam, 15 cm of insulation, underfloor heating (water) 7 cm of concrete. Now to the question. Unidrain wall-mounted drain wants about 2-3 cm slope toward the drain. Then the concrete becomes quite thin at the back. Are there stronger materials to use for the slope? Regards, Johan

70 mm concrete in itself is already borderline, any thinner won’t work. Even without underfloor heating, it's tight with the cover layer, reinforcement, and ballast. I would have considered another solution or possibly dug further.

Edit: Realized I might have phrased it a bit strangely. No need to cover any ballast, if it could be interpreted that way.
