I am in the process of placing some U-beams to remove various walls at home. (No, I haven't done the calculations myself, that's the engineer's job.) Yesterday, a couple of guys from the local blacksmith shop came by and started installing the beams. However, in several of the holes that needed to be drilled (through and through), they encountered reinforcement bars. The guys were not completely satisfied with this, and there are still a couple of holes that the bolts don't go through.

Now I'm thinking of preparing for their next visit by fixing these holes over the weekend, and the question is what you recommend I use to get through the reinforcement.

VERY grateful for your answer!

Good drill and a lot of patience! Just keep grinding through!

If it's a heavy-duty iron, it becomes difficult.
Check Hilti's drills.
They have a couple of extra "piggar" on the tip.
Might not be available in all sizes.

Best regards, Putte
