We're approaching the order for a staircase to the upper floor. It feels both exciting and a bit nerve-wracking. It's so important that it turns out well, not something you'd easily change...
We're going for an L-shaped staircase, the current proposal is 122cm + 370 cm. The ceiling height is 250 cm and the floor structure is 30 cm. The drawn staircase has a step height of 17.5 and a step depth of 25.5. Will such a staircase be comfortable to walk on? Ideally, I would like to extend the long side by a few more centimeters, to 380 or 385. Does that make it a better or worse staircase to walk on (if you can notice any difference at all)?
Feedback is gratefully received, and I know there's some 'staircase guru' here on the forum

When I designed my staircase, the advice was to reduce the slope if possible.

Thanks for the link.
Actually, I have room to extend the stairs even more, up to 400 cm (the long part) is really not a problem. And maybe it will just make for an even more comfortable staircase...? I'll listen around more and have another talk with the stair manufacturer...
