Hello!
Planning to lay tiles on the basement floor (basement hall) with comfort heating.
I've looked at T2 red with its insulation board (you can glue tiles directly onto this, saving ceiling height. In my case, the height is 2.10)
I've spoken to Nvent, who manufactures the underfloor heating, and they recommend placing a Platon membrane between the floor and the insulation board to avoid moisture migration that could dissolve the adhesive holding the heating plate and insulation together.
I have an uninsulated slab and am not keen on embedding cables in concrete or chiseling up the floor to insulate.
Sounds like the right method! Anyone else with experience of underfloor heating in basements?? Tips and tricks!
